Join the PTA

The PTA brings the community together with family activities like Sock Hop, Bingo and JogFest. We fill in gaps in MCPS funding when needed, and help expand opportunities for our children in the classroom and beyond. Our goal is to give every student a chance to grow. But to do all this, the Wood Acres PTA needs you!

By joining our PTA, you:

• Partner with other parents to become active, involved citizens in our school and community.
• Help fund programs that respond to the needs of our students, teachers, and parents.
• Stay current with the WAES directory containing students’ addresses and phone numbers and school information
• Vote on PTA matters that directly affect our children and our school.
• Become a member of the local, state, and national PTAs.
