Pride Fundraising

The Wood Acres Pride Campaign is the PTA's largest fundraiser of the year, accounting for over 50% of the budget.  With this campaign, we are responding to many of you who voiced support for direct donations in lieu of participating in multiple fundraising activities. Parents will still have opportunities to purchase products they've told us they like such as Sally Foster Gift Wrap and Art Original Works - but now, with your support, the pressure to buy can be gone. 

The truth is that MCPS does not pay for many of the "extras" that we have come to expect and that our children enjoy.  With our current annual budget of almost $75,000, the PTA provides critical funds to Wood Acres students, teachers, programs and facilities.  We are asking you to contribut funds that will 100% directly benefit your child's education this year. 

Our Goal of $40,000 is the same as last year, yet we are relying on the additional number of families to reach this goal.  We are more than 500 families strong, and your support in any capacity helps our school. Every family's contribution is greatly appreciated, and we ask that you give as generously as you can.
