Art Original Works

Original Works is a Wood Acres tradition.  Students, under the direction of the Art Teacher, create art projects.  Students bring these projects home along with a brochure, order form and price list.  Parents may then order items such as note pads, clocks, aprons and t-shirts with their child's art work on them.  Order forms are sent home approximately two weeks before Spring Break.  Orders are then distributed to your child's classroom at least one week prior to Mother's Day.

Art Festival

The Annual Wood Acres Art Festival is traditionally held the evening of the final PTA meeting of the year. The festival generally runs for one hour prior to the start of the meeting.  All students are invited to submit a piece of original art for the Art Festival.  The art can be created at home, school, or anywhere else and in any medium.  Use your imagination!  Photos, finger paints, clay, papier mache, acrylic paintings, pencil drawings, textiles, markers, crayon and 3D sculptures are all welcome!!! 

During the festival, families are invited to browse the Wood Acres art gallery while enjoying performances by instrumental music students in the hallways. There is plenty of need for volunteers and SSL opportunities.
