Space Night

Space Night is a school-wide celebration that makes Wood Acres Elementary School truly unique. This once every two years event has always been tremendously popular with students and parents alike. The most recent Space Night took place on April 22, 2010.  Past Space Night activities have included; tours of the solar system, experiments with gravity, fascinating speakers, rocket launches, stargazing, a space themed game show, crafts, mad science experiments and much, much more.  Parent and student volunteers area always needed.  We can't do it without you!

Space Night is coming back in the Spring of 2012 and the Space Night Committee is looking for an exciting keynote speaker. If you or someone you know knows an astronaut who has traveled beyond Earth's atmosphere, or another captivating figure in the field of astronomy, we'd love to have him or her participate in Space Night 2012.
