ESOL
Wood Acres is fortunate to have children from a variety of different cultures and languages. The ESOL committee arranges regular meetings and encourages ESOL parents to come together and share resources.

We are approaching the end of the school year. Did it fly by just as fast for you as it did for us? Remember when you first moved here and your kids were not able to say anything in English but Yes and No? Maybe by now, they are correcting your English. They certainly do with me!
We would love to hear all the achievements of your kids, and the challenges they and you, yourself, faced getting there. Not only to learn from each other but also because it is fun to share these stories. We therefore invite you to join us for a POTLUCK "PICNIC" at the PLAYGROUND IN THE WOOD ACRES PARK (at the other side of the playing field behind the school) MAY 16th, 3.15 PM
(rain date May 24th)
Bring a drink, a savoury or a sweet treat, maybe from your own country, to celebrate the cultural diversity of Wood Acres, and take all family members that want to join, even if they are not in Wood Acres (anymore). Please let us know with how many you plan to come and what you plan to make, so the ESOL committee can fill in any possible gaps on the picnic table. We will also provide ice cream for the kids, so we need to know how much to buy.
