About the Planetarium Program

The Wood Acres Planetarium was created in 1975 by the parent Community at Wood Acres Elementary, All students at Wood Acres have the opportunity to visit the Planetarium. Classes are taught by parent volunteers. For Current Volunteers

The planetarium committee has stored all the classroom materials used by volunteers on this website for your convenience. To access those materials click here, or on the Lesson Files. To check the volunteer schedule, click on the Planetarium Use Calendar.

Training is provided to all volunteers. Volunteers will be notified of training opportunities and materials throughout the school year... No experience necessary!
