Mark your calendar now for the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast. The Faculty and Staff of Wood Acres Elementary School invite you to join us for a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, June 1, 2012, from 8:15-9:15AM in the All-Purpose Room. Childcare will be provided in the gym from 8:15-8:45 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., Wood Acres students will be taken to morning line up. We hope you plan to join us!

Below is a list of the open PTA Committee Chair positions for next year. Please use the contacts listed below to let us know if you are interested in or if you would like to learn more about any of these positions. Thank you!

• Community and Family Support Membership (Fall) - Distribute membership forms at fall events, including Open House, Activities Night, publicize membership, coordinate directory distribution, deposit membership checks. • Newcomers - Host 2-3 Newcomers events during the year – a coffee following Open House, an evening reception in October/November, and possibly a coffee in late Winter / early Spring. We need you! Wood Acres relies on parents to support paid staff personnel during every lunch and recess shift. This is particularly true on rainy and snowy days.

If you can help at lunch/recess with supervising the children, please sign up!  We encourage parents to sign up for a regular shift, be it once a month or once a week. If you cannot make a regular commitment you can volunteer on an ad hoc basis using the online form or just come to the school since we also welcome last minute volunteers.
