We hope you have gotten a chance to peruse this site. The PTA Website is run by parent volunteers. We are working hard to keep you up-to-date and informed on everything going on at Wood Acres. The menu bars above can link you to tons of useful information so click away!

The PTA's Nominating Committee has begun putting together the slate for next year's Board of Directors.  The Committee is currently accepting nominations for the following positions:  President, Executive Vice-President, Secretary, Co-Treasurer (shares position with returning Treasurer), Trustee, VP Communications, VP School & Facility Support, VP Educational Issues (shares position with a returning co-VP), and Whitman Cluster Representative.
If you are interested in being considered for one of these positions - or wish to recommend someone else - please contact a member of the Nominating Committee.  Nominating Committee Members are:  Jill Headley (Committee Chair – This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We need you! Wood Acres relies on parents to support paid staff personnel during every lunch and recess shift. This is particularly true on rainy days. If you can help at lunch/recess with supervising the children, please sign up!  We encourage parents to sign up for a regular shift, be it once a month or once a week. If you cannot make a regular commitment you can volunteer on an ad hoc basis using the online form or just come to the school since we also welcome last minute volunteers.
