Virtual Science Fair

The Wood Acres Science Fair is going virtual this year!  Join us on March 11 for a great evening of science fun.

All grades are welcome!  All projects are welcome!  There is no project too small for the science fair.

Your kids can work solo or in groups.  It is all about putting a little more science in or kids’ lives.  The links below have some great ideas for science fair projects:

Instead of presenting in person, students will record 2-3 minute videos of their projects (more info to come on how to submit your video).  Kids can use a trifold board or come up with another creative way to present their project.  Below are some tips on items to cover in the video presentation:

  • What did you do and what were the results?

  • What did you learn?

  • What materials did you use?

  • Why did you pick this project?

  • Is there anything you would do differently if you did this project again?

  • Older kids (3rd grade and above), can share their hypothesis, what they predicted would happen and what actually happened.

Kids can also record a video sharing a favorite science topic instead of presenting a science project.

Please use this link to register for the science fair.  The deadline to register and submit videos is March 1.  A separate link to submit videos will be shared.
