Start Cleaning Out Your Closets!

The PTA’s Warm Clothing Drive to benefit our sister schools will be held Monday, October 21st - Friday, October 25th during morning drop-off in front of Wood Acres

Please start setting aside the following items:

  • New or gently used children’s coats, hats, mittens/gloves, sweaters, fleeces, pants, scarves and snow boots (all sizes needed).

  • New or gently used adult coats, sweaters and snow boots (all sizes and both men/women's needed, but there is especially a need for adult men's size mediums and older teen sizes (12/14/6) for the population we are serving).

  • Basically, all clothing/footwear items that a child or adult could wear in cold weather are accepted and greatly appreciated!

Clothes should be clean and in ready-to-wear condition! As many recipients lack free or easy access to laundry facilities, please launder items before donating them. This helps recipients feel good about their "new" clothing.

The warm clothing drive benefits families at our sister schools in Silver Spring, New Hampshire Estates (Pre-K - 2nd) and Oak View Elementary (3rd-5th).

We welcome volunteers to help collect and sort clothing any day from October 21st (8:30-9:30am). Please reach out to Beth Mueller if you’d like to volunteer or have questions at maryelizabethwalsh@yahoo.com
